I'm glad you found my portfolio site. Graphic design is something I love more than I can express in words, and I hope you will find that it really shows through on this site. Please check out the links above to learn more about me and my work. I also started a blog page to share some of my latest work, awesome findings and just plain random things. The blog is featured below. I hope you will be inspired by me and please contact me if you have any question or thoughts about anything. Thanks for taking time to look at my work and enjoy!
My senior project is something I am really proud of and spent a lot of time planning and executing all the elements for the design. To showcase each different part, I created a process book that basically states the reasons behind all of my designs for this project and shows my creative thinking. Click here to see and read my Process Book! As you will see from my book, I am a very picky person when it comes to design. I found the perfect cupcakes for my project and ended up driving eight hours each way, just to photograph these awesome looking things! That, paired with the color palette, really makes this cupcake shop stand out. With all of the marketing materials I created, all I need to do now is open up my own cupcake shop...maybe someday!
I hope you will click on the link to my Process Book and maybe even eat a cupcake when looking at it! Sweet dreams (or swirls in this case)!
Here is another project I have been working on in my free time...logos for each of North Dakota's state parks. I got this idea from none other than Pinterest. After seeing a similar design project for Pennsylvania state parks (click to see), I was inspired to do this for North Dakota. Camping has always been one of my favorite things to do at the state park near my hometown. I am having a lot of fun with designing all of the logos for the 12 state parks in North Dakota. As you will see below, each logo is going to feature an element specific to that state park. It will be sort of like a mini logo inside of the larger logo that could be used by itself for a simple branding when the full logo is not needed. This is just the start of things to come with this project. It's really fun designing consistent, yet unique, looks for each park.
After what seems like was a very short weekend, I am going to showcase some work that I find truly inspiring. I am constantly on Pinterest looking for the next great design to inspire me. Check out my Design Inspiration Board for an idea of what I mean. This design is something I love! The colors, textures and different visual elements all work together to create a great look that remains consistent throughout the different designs. I am thankful for finding this inspiration! I always love finding things to be inspired by, and this is truly great! Good night and have a happy Monday!
My first post! I have quite a few projects that I have been working on in the past months and will be posting those in the coming days and weeks. For this post, I am going to feature a logo I have been working on for North Dakota's 125th anniversary. The North Dakota State Historical Society is holding a logo contest, and I really wanted to enter, as this is my home state. Although North Dakota may get a bad reputation for the cold and brutal winters, there are still some pretty great things about this state! The logo features the two main economies that are thriving in the state right now, oil and farming, along with the notorious badlands and rolling plains. Top that off with blue skies, and you have North Dakota in a nutshell.
I hope this gives you a good idea of what ND is all about if you've never been and you feel at home if this is where you're from. Thanks for taking a look!
